Glas-Glas Module Info

Glas-Glas Module Info

Glasses on the front and back of the module ensure high mechanical strength and fire safety. The electrical insulation is also significantly increased. For bifacial and PERC modules, glass instead of foil ensures more light from the back. This increases yields as well as protection against PID (Potential Induced Degradation).

The glass-glass module is therefore the best solution for all applications where an extraordinary longevity, Reliability and durability is nessesary. The manufacturers underline this partly with longer guarantees of 30-40 years.

A common use are glass-glass modules as a railing / balcony or as a visible roof which is still slightly translucent.

Quality-conscious customers should, in our opinion, think about glass-glass modules. No backsheet can even reach approximate the properties of glass.

Above all, the individual solar cells are located in the mechanically neutral zone between the glasses and are loaded neither on train nor on pressure, whereby the formation of damaging microcracks is largely avoided.

Another advantage is the nicer rear view, similar to the front.
